All engines are now covered by a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty from the date of purchase (first year parts and labour, second year parts). Each unit is supplied with detailed installation, care and maintenance instructions plus a warranty registration card. This registration card must be returned to Remtec Europe within fourteen days of delivery and must be completed by the owner and supplier/fitter. The warranty is transferable to a new owner if the vehicle is sold during the period of cover as long as all care & maintenance requirements are adhered to. Bad fitting, incorrect timing and poor maintenance are the causes of nearly all premature engine failures. Please contact us for help or advice at any time if you are unsure of anything relating to your engine. Running-in is also very important. We stock only the later version of the DG engine with 2 oil switches and late style water pump. The oil pressure switches can be found below the water pump and between the pushrod tubes on the nearside bank of cylinders. This type of engine can be fitted to earlier single oil switch vehicles as long as the earlier type of water pump is fitted. Our engines are fitted with brand new heads, re-manufactured or new barrels, new KS pistons, rings and pins. Each engine is supplied with an oil filter and a new water pump. DJ engines are also fitted with new oil cooler. As with O.E. specification all our engines have hydraulic tappets. Engines for automatic gearbox models are available with notice for an extra charge.
